Philadelphia Water Color Club 99th Anniversary International Exhibition of Works on Paper

The Philadelphia Water Color Club 99th Anniversary International Exhibition of Works on Paper opens at Woodmere Art Museum on Nov. 21, 1999 and continues through Feb. 6, 2000.

The exhibition presents technically proficient and imaginative works on paper including pastel, prints, lithographs and drawings. Jurors are nationally acclaimed watercolorists Joan Ashley Rothermel and Paul Melia, both members of the American Watercolor Society as well as Dolphin Fellows and Gold Medal winners. Of some 650 entries from all over the world, the jurors selected 102 works to comprise a stunning collection of contemporary talent. Juror of Awards, renowned artist, juror and author Jean Dobie, will designate some 25 prize winners who will share prizes totaling more than $6,000. Woodmere presents Gallery Tours, Thurs., Dec. 9, 1999, 1 p.m. and Thurs., Jan. 20, 2000, 11 a.m.; a Lecture/Demonstration, Sat., Dec. 11, 1999, 2 p.m. on "Painting Dynamic Watercolors" by Domenic DiStefano, AWS; and an Elements of Art lecture by artist Jim McFarlane on "Impressionist Watercolors," Mon., Nov. 29, 1999, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m..
