Frank Coburn

by Bradley J. Delaney

Although Coburn must have attained a modicum of financial security late in his life through the generosity of William Wrigley, he led a modest existence from his childhood until the time he died. Coburn's urban working-class circumstances determined his choice of subject and his style, which Antony E. Anderson aptly characterized as "sincere."
