BAM presents Boise photographer Jim
Talbot's unique ph
otographic
portraits in an exhibition opening to the public February 27, 1999. Talbot's
works get straight to the heart and soul of his subjects. He pays careful
attention to every detail of the dress and expression of his subjects, providing
an in-depth look into their lives and environs.
Talbot aims to convey "a visual celebration of our
individual differences." He will lecture about his work on March 4,
at 5:30 p.m. at BAM's First Thursday ART Talk sponsored by Charles Schwab.
Talbot's photographs have been featured in numerous literary
publications. Also, he received an Award of Excellence at the 48th Annual
College Photographer of the Year, awarded by the National Press Photographers
Foundation.
Feature exhibitions present the work of contemporary Northwest artists.
