Another Arizona: A State-Wide Juried Exhibition
"Another Arizona" will be exhibited in two galleries: in the ASU Art Museum's location in the Nelson Fine Arts Center and in the Experimental Gallery, a museum space in Matthews Center.
The original idea for "Another Arizona" was developed from a series of meetings held during the past two years between local artists and the ASU Art Museum curators. "The museum staff called the meetings to determine how we can better serve and promote Arizona artists, and help foster a greater sense of community among artists and institutions," explains Lineberry. "The artists proposed a large juried exhibition that would draw a broader pool than recent curated projects - hence the title of the exhibition."
A reception, with performance works by exhibiting artists, will take place February 27, 1998 from 7 - 9 p.m and will be free to the public.
